You have likely heard about the RE/MAX alliance with Redfin. There is a new tile in Max Center specifically for this new arrangement with Redfin, and there are several documents that you can download that explain the program.
In a nutshell, Redfin has several areas where they do not have agents to refer to. They wanted feature the best agents so they looked to RE/MAX. RE/MAX negotiated a reduced referral fee to 25% for our agents that wish to participate. There are no additional fees. Brevard County is an area that is available for our agents to participate.
If you are not interested in receiving the opportunities, do not sign up. This opportunity is similar to any other Broker to Broker referral program or Relocation program.
What it is not is a Business Partnership. It is a Referral Partnership. Redfin and RE/MAX are very different companies with very different philosophies. Consider the arrangement between RE/MAX and Zillow. RE/MAX syndicates listings to Zillow, however the business models are very different and sometimes conflict. However the arrangement to syndicate is one that is made to provide additional marketing opportunities for our listings.
This is a two year arrangement with Redfin and is a great way for great agents to have additional referral opportunities.
