Marketing to Last - Newsletters

Today, we're diving into the wild world of newsletters! If you're not doing them, well in short...you should be. Newsletters are like a quick catch-up coffee with your long-lost clients and lukewarm (or freezing) leads. They're a secret sauce to staying top of mind, especially when the market's doing whatever the market wants. Stay consistent, stay relevant. Plus, they let you engage your audience in a jiffy without breaking the marketing bank. So, let's take a stroll down memory lane and revisit those questions the Solutions Squad has thrown my way.

"But what do I put in a newsletter?"

Great question! Treat it like your social media feed, but with fewer cat videos. Sure, brag about your wins, but also use this chance to flex your industry smarts, flaunt your community spirit, and become the local guru. Newsletters flop when they lack that neighborly touch and your audience feels like they're reading an instruction manual.

"Print vs. Email: The Ultimate Smackdown! Who wins?!"

Well, buckle up, because we're about to find out!

Email newsletters: RE/MAX Solutions hooks you up with kvCORE, a nifty CRM and email campaign gizmo that can reach heaps of people faster than you can say "squirrel!" Just make sure you've added your contacts (you know who you are).

Stuck on where to start? Fret not, we've got a May newsletter template ready for you in kvCORE (view the tutorial on how to find it at the bottom of this blog). And keep an eye out for our new marketing reveal in Friday's Focus email (so much excitement, I can't even). But let's get back on track... Email newsletters should be a key player on your marketing dream team. Pros:

  • Speedy Gonzales distribution

  • Easy on the wallet

  • Trackable like Sherlock Holmes

Cons:

  • Lower response rate (boo)

  • Can encounter more bounces than a trampoline park

  • Not as warm and fuzzy

Print Newsletters: In a world drowning in digital, print has that je ne sais quoi. Your clients are more likely to pick it up, give it a once-over, and maybe even read it! Unlike emails that can lurk in inboxes for eons (guilty as charged 🙋🏻‍♀️), print demands attention.

Pros:

  • Better delivery rate (like a homing pigeon)

  • Solid ROI

  • Higher engagement rate (yay)

Cons:

  • Costs more than email

  • Snail Mail - if you're not delivering by hand

  • Tracking? Not so much. (Follow-ups to the rescue!)

The verdict? BOTH! No, seriously, both. Use email to woo your entire CRM (all of it!). Go print for past clients and neighbors. Combine the two for a marketing tag team that caters to different audiences like a well-oiled machine.

"But I just don't have time!"

Yeah, we all wish there were 48 hours in a day, but that's just not happening. Luckily, we've got print and email options aplenty at Solutions and can handle that for you.

Maria's is one of my favorites, it's the bees-knees. Check out an old but a goody from Volume 1...we're on Volume 3 now!
